This blog started out with the idea to test recipes and rate them based on taste, difficulty (based on cooking in my previous tiny nyc kitchen), and price. However, I’ve recently moved to a new apartment with a much bigger kitchen, so it doesn’t feel fair to continue with the old rating system. From here on out it will be a simple 5 star rating system.
I am also challenging myself to try recipes that focus on in-season produce. While every post may not be based around seasonal recipes (especially as I start to repost some of the older recipe’s I’ve tried from my old blog), you can definitely expect that I’ll be basing my future recipe tests around seasonal produce. Click here to find out what produce is in season near you 🙂
My main goals are to become a better cook, try new recipes and ingredients, and find recipes that I’ll take with me forever. At the start of this blog I’ve been a vegetarian (sometimes pescatarian) for about 5 years. Soon I’ll be returning to eating meat so you might notice a gradual change in what I prepare. I’m really looking forward to broadening what I cook and eat! And I’ll clean up this about section soon, it’s pretty all over the place.
Let’s get cooking!
